Join us for the first in a series of open forum versions of the NY-CT Chapter’s industry briefs on plant performance optimization techniques. This talk focuses on the problem of making operational technology cyber resilient while continuing to keep the reliable delivery of effects as the foremost objective of everything related to, or residing on, the maritime platform. This talk has been heavily edited for content to accommodate an audience that includes Friends and Allies. Acronyms will be kept to a minimum and, when used, will be defined. At the talk’s conclusion, an attendee should:
Understand the operational problem;
Understand the industry standards and the strategic shift that offers a solution to the problem;
Understand that the balancing act of resiliency against operational performance is a readily solvable mathematical problem, rather than an art;
Know what to ask of your systems engineers so you can assess or design systems to meet the desired resiliency and plant performance goals; and,
Know what technical questions to ask of vendors to get past the marketing gloss on this topic.
